About Us

The OGKK UK was established in 1985 with the express permission of Grandmaster Eiichi Miyazato and in 1997 he appointed Sensei Bob Honiball as Shibucho for the UK. Since 1985, Sensei Bob and Sensei Tony Green have travelled over to Okinawa on a regular basis to receive training by Sensei Miyazato and the other seniors of the Jundokan Dojo.
Our Association

Our uk chief instructor in sensei Tony Green who was graded 6th dan Renshi by sensei Tetsunosuke Yasuda 10th dan, Yoshishige Omine 10th dan & Yoshihro Miyazato (Kancho) in 2008 at the Jundokan sohonbu Naha Okinawa.

Tony has taken over as (Shibucho) for the uk from Sensei Bob Honiball 7th dan who is now (Shibucho) chief instructor for Lithuania and Techincal Director for the uk
Aims and Objectives

• To preserve the practice of Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Do, as handed down to us by Masters Higanonna Kanryo, Miyagi Chojun, Miyazato Eiichi and Iha Koshin
• To forge close links with the Masters in Okinawa in order to develop and refine the technical knowlege, ability and understanding of all our members
• To preserve the True Lineage of Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Do from our Founder to his Living student, Master Iha Koshin

Goju Ryu Karate Training

Our classes are specifically aimed at personal development, self defence, health and fitness. We train and teach traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Do in the same way as it is taught at the O.G.K.K So Honbu Dojo in Naha Okinawa.
