The dojo is run by Glenn Kerr (3rd Dan)

I was born in 1973. I began training in Ju Jitsu in 1984 under Sensei Roland Beadle in Belfast. In 1985 I started Karate with my Father and learned the basics from him.

My first real traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu teacher was Sensei Steve Gouldson of Shinzato Dojo in Birkenhead. I went to Okinawa in 2004 for the 4th I.O.G.K.F Budosai and re-graded to 1st Dan in Okinawan Goju Ryu under Sensei Ernie Molyneux in 2006.

Following some research I joined the then Jundokan UK in 2007 to find the deepest meaning of Goju Ryu Karate. I attended the Miyazato Memorial in Okinawa in 2008 where I graded to 2nd Dan in front of the Jundokan panel.

Last year in Wales I graded to 3rd Dan under Sensei Bob Honiball 7th Dan, Sensei Tony Green 6th Dan and Sensei Ilpo Aavisto 7th Dan from Sweden.
My present teachers are Sensei Mark Weatherill and Sensei’s Tony Green and Bob Honiball who have shown me the true nature and essence of Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate.

I have been very fortunate to have great teachers who teach so in-depth and with a friendly approach.

Now in my Dojo I hope to pass on in the traditional way all I have been taught and teach the value of Miyazato Sensei’s Dojo training principles – The Dojo Kun!
